I have been looking for my Application Data folder with no luck. An application happened to have a link to their data file and was able to find the data....and it was in a subfolder of Application Data.

I hit the parent directory button and it backed up to Application data. Then again to the username folder. In the username folder there was no Applicatioin Data folder, but there was a 176k file named ~.

I did a KB search on 'Application Data folder' and got one hit taking me to the KB intro page. Weird.

XP V 5.1 build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633 Svc Pack 1

Anyone else seen this?

Kent;
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Application Data
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Local Settings\Application Data
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Application Data

For ~, see
What is the Tilde (~) file that appears on Desktop

Application data folder is here:
C:\Documents and Settings\your user name here\Application Data
This is a hidden folder so you have to have explorers folder options set to
show hidden files and folders.(in explorer, tools, folder options, view
tab).
