Application compatibility in Vista

i am trying to port an application in vista. the application supports SQL
server 2000 but vista supports only SQL server 2005. so how can i make that
application compatible to vista?

I think that questoin is probably better off with a SQL expert because you
are going to have to update the app. There isn't an app compat shim or
anything to help with this type of problem
