appledouble attachment -> single file arrives

A

art

a Mac user uses Internet mail to send an appledouble attachment to an
Exchange server. Outlook (2002 and 2003) and Outlook Express v6 both merge
the resource and data forks together as a single file attachment.

A couple of the same attachment is sent to a unix/sendmail server and it
correctly delivers two attachments to the unix mail client.

Any ideas?

The merging only works for Outlook clients. Any other clients don't support
this (like webbased clients). Check with the Unix mail client to find out
whether this is supported or not.
