append query data does not appear in subform

I have a subform in my employee database that tracks licensining. when a
license renews I have made an append query that appends the data to a new
record an fills in some info. I have created a macro to run that query.

I put a button oon the record and assigned it to run the macro and append
the data. Everything works fine except that I can't see the data unless I
dvance to the next record and return (or close and re-open)

How do I make it appear instantly the same as a "duplicate record" button
does?

In your macro that runs the append query, requery the subform. I'm assuming
the macro is in the main form. If you've got active filters, you may need to
use the command ShowAllRecords.
