Is the following folder missing or empty?
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools
If so, you'll have to recreate the shortcuts that resided there. The

You'll need to set the read-only attribute (use the attrib +r command) on
the folder for the desktop.ini file to be processed by Explorer.

Thanks mark, I checked out this site earlier and it waswnt what i needed.

be more specific I am running Vista home premium and blew out the icons in
Administrative tools not Management Toole in Control Panel. I also lost
the
shortcurs in Admin Tools on the Start Menu. Stating that i want to
re-build
the Admin Tools package.
