Probably the easiest thing to do first off is to have System File Checker
check the system to verify no files are missing or corrupt. To run SFC, do
this:
1. Go to Start- Run.
2. Type in 'sfc /scannow' without quotes.
3. Press Enter.

I have, as others, lost my windows xp style in the display properties
under the windows and buttons option. I have tried the 214 and 187 fixes
from kellys-korner but they haven't changed anything. I have also noticed
that in the windows/resources/luna ect folder there is nothing, almost as
though the files are missing. This problem happened immediately after I
defragmented my harddrive. My guess is that the luna files have been lost in
the defragmentation process. How can I get them back?
