App error in IE

Victor

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm a sys admin and I
have several users who try and print using an Active X
controller from an intranet website. IE shuts down and
generates an error report. The event viewer indicates the
error information below. Reinstalling IE doesn't work.
My only solution is to rebuild from scratch. Does anyone
else have a better solution or recommendation? Thanks!

Error:
"Application Failure iexplore.exe 6.0.28.00.1106 in
licmr10.dll 5.0.2920.0 at offset 000031c0"

Description:
"The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source (
Microsoft Internet Explorer ) cannot be found. The local
computer may not have the necessary registry information
or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. The following information is part of the event:
iexplore.exe, 6.0.2800.1106, licmgr10.dll, 5.0.2920.2,
000031c0."

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.
