Apostrophe turns into square box when sending e-mail

I use Outlook 2002 in Office XP Professional. Does anyone know why when I
type a word with an apostrophe like "didn't" the apostrophe turns into a
square box when the message is sent? This just recently started happening.
I use Word as my e-mail editor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with all my computers in the network. Is this a
virus? I use AVG as my antivirus program and it has not found any infections.
I have not found a solution.

I figured out my problem. I had Spamfighter installed and it reverted from
the Pro version to the free version after my 30 day trial. The free version
is the problem. They are aware of it and are working on it, however, I've
waited 2 weeks for them to correct the problem and they haven't yet so I
uninstalled Spamfighter and the problem has gone away. It's too bad because
I like the product the the little square boxes were annoying. Hope this
helps you.

I figured out my problem. It was the free version of Spamfighter. They said
they were aware of the issue and were working on it, however, it's been two
weeks and I still had the problem so I uninstalled the program and the
problem disappeared. It's unfortunate because I liked the program but the
little square boxes were annoying. Hope this helps you.
