Worth it ??
I don't get it.
It's free.
How can one go wrong.
Take it or leave it.
No lost in the pocket book.

Yes, I did and from I read and see I say what do you want for free. You
can't go wrong for free.

Maybe you don't realize that AOL is now free. So what can one complain about
if it is free. It isn't costing them nothing. They can either take or leave
it. No big deal. Millions of people still like and still use it regardless
of what you think about it. What the heck, why not.. it's free.

You're right, you can't complain about the price. One can, however,
complain about the product. If you have sex with someone and they don't
charge you but you get AIDS, do you think that it's fine and dandy
because the sex was "free"?

so you don't care about being bombarded with in-your-face advertising, poor
customer service, questionable billing practices, mounds of spam, junk
software installed on your PC? It is free so all of this doesn't matter?

To each his own.

Along with the hundreds of other posts that are irrelevant? But this isn't
irrelevant? With Vista being so buggy and having so many issues, if I can
save one person from putting more trash on the computer than this post was
well worth it.

There are many posts regarding Adobe, Visual Studio, third party software
vendors that don't have anything to do with Vista, but people install that
software on Vista so maybe it is relevant.

If you don't think it's relevant, then why did you post? You could have
moved on to the next repeated post on activation, which version of Vista
shall I use, how can I install, etc... Posts over and over and over.......
You get the point.

Since Vista is an OS it is supposed to support software to make our PC's
useful, I mention that since MS may have forgotten its importance.

Vista's one an only plus point for me has been DirectX graphics on an
8800GTX where the 3D perspective is very realistic. As for the rest it may
look good but I am always suspicious of good looking people who don't appear
to have a boy/girl friend around. MS have a habit of scoring own goals but
because they change the rules by the second they always end up winning. I
just wish that they had been forced to break up their monopoly by the Courts
- that may have done 21st Century computing no end of good - something Vista
doesn't begin to do.
