Hello,

We use word for a medical transcription company. Alot of times we are
coming across errors and word crashing when it tries to spell check the
footers of some documents.

Is there anyway to ignore these by defualt?

Thanks - Alan

Modify the styles named Header and Footer so anything in those styles
isn't checked.

To do that, right-click the style in the Styles and Formatting task
pane and choose Modify. In the dialog, click the Format button at the
bottom left and choose Language. Check the box for "Do not check
spelling and grammar", and click OK. Back in the Modify box, check the
box for Add to Template, then click OK.
