FYI - I've notice some non-OE newsreaders do not retain original text
when replying.

Steve

You have it sorta backwards. Yes, non-OE news-clients snips original
text whan replying to posters using OE ... because they follow protocol.
Proper newsreaders automatically snips everything under and including
the start of the signature, the '-- ' line. On the other hand, M$ vs.
following protocol-standards is the topic on many discussions.

(Strangly, i just saw Kelly provide URL's for how to set up a newsreader
in another thread, still Kelly's own setup puts the quoted text below
the signature-marker!?!)

Keep up the good work, Kelly! :>

Ok, I have been seeing weirdness with my Outlook Express since SP2, but let's review the post in question, in its entirety, which I have pasted below:

Well it is a vulnerability but you may think what you like.

Yep, and with computers running Windows Server 2003, two Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows ME in my house, and all using Internet Explorer as the primary browser; my biggest concern and most problematic security problem has been and continues to be Sun's Java Runtime Environment.

Notice the single line message from "Dan" in my reply? That was the reply to which I was replying and it certainly appears in my newsreader when I view the post in question.

Yes, it is in this post, but not the previous one that I responded to.

Here is the response we are talking about. In it you will your request for me to include the reply to which I am responding, you will see the reply to which I am responding, and you will see my response.

In my browser, the reply was included. In my newsreader, the reply seems to be included. Am I missing something?
