Anybody still make 50GB onstream tapes?

I have a friend with a 50GB scsi onstream tape drive. I tried finding some
50GB tapes for him but I have found that they are no longer manufactured.
Does anybody know of a substitute?

Did you check on ebay? I just did, and it looks like there're some up for
auction, including some 3-packs...

Yep, I did see the auctions on ebay. I think these may be the last of the
50GB tapes available. I spent a few hours phoning a bunch of online tape
retailers and none of them had any or could get any 50GB tapes. Thanks for
the tip though!

Hi,

Sometimes these people selling stuff on ebay may be aware where to get this
stuff. It might not hurt to email some of the ones that seem more reliable
(check their feedback) and who've sold the same product before. Just trying
to help...

That is a damn good idea! I have also started asking people on ebay about
other products I want that relate to their current stock. For example, I
bought a nice pocketknife on ebay a month ago-the seller had tons of high
end knives for sale. I asked him about a nice sharpener I have been wanting
to buy and he ordered it for me from his supplier and gave me a great price.
Ebay isn't just a bunch of used crap anymore.
