Hi,

Anybody knows whether XP is the last product of 32-bit
Windows? Will there be new version of 32-bit Windows?
Asking this because we are considering it is effective to
upgrade Windows XP from HOME edition to PROFESSIONAL.

thanks,
jackling

Well, people are beta (or is it late-Alpha) testing Longhorn on 32-bit
systems, and that's a few years down the pipe. While 64-bit systems may be a
bit more common in 1-2 years time (we'll see,) I don't think you'll see
32-bit systems disappear.

As far as being "effective" to upgrade from Home to Pro, what do you want to
upgrade for? (Not saying Home is so wonderful nobody would want to leave,
but if it's just to say "I'm running Pro!" it's not that effective. <g> )

If you have to ask if your copy of XP is 32 or 64 bit, it's 32.
