I'm not a techie person by any stretch of the imagination

This is my set up so far.

PC in house with Internet but no DVD drive.
iMac in house with DVD AND internet
PDA in house with Internet connection.

The problem is that I have sofware on DVD that needs to be downloaded
onto the PDA. It can only be done via ActiveSync software that is
installed on the house PC.
I need to find a way to slot the software DVD into the iMac and then
use network spells and dessicated newt spleens to copy it over onto the
house PC in order to install it on the PDA which is attached to it.
Oh God, I need to lie down again, lol

It is very easy to share files over the network with a Mac. You need to
run Samba. I assume your Mac is running some version of OSX. However, a
DVD-ROM drive costs less than $30. It would be easiest to just go buy
one for your PC and run your program directly.
