anybody got a SP2 CD?

My pre-SP2 Windows XP is very annoying. Can't get SP2 to download so I
ordered the SP2 disc, but don't want to wait. Anybody in New York City
got the disc to spare? I live in North Brooklyn.

Hi Kell! I don't live in New York, but I can mail that SP2 CD out to you
pretty fast if you'd like. I know how you feel with a Pre-SP2 system, but
make sure you read up on your computer pretty good though. Hp/Compaq's are
NOTORIOUS for having some SERIOUS issues with SP2. How do I know? I work for
HP/Compaq! Take my advice on this one! Talk to you later! Niki

First off, I'll bet the OP receives the ordered SP2 disk before you get yours out.

Secondly, the OP should NOT ACCEPT any shipment via email or snailmail from anyone if they are unknown to the OP. I am not in any way suggesting that you are malicious, yet any person who accepts/install/runs files from an unknown is asking to be whacked. The way it is in today's times brings forth the imminence for every user to be on High Alert.

My HP Pavilion ZE 5155 laptop shows no signs of problems installing SP2 from
the MS provided CD, or afterwards. Its well over 4 years old. Maybe I'm
doing something wrong.

I had no problem erasing the HD on my HP Pavilion, clean installing XP
and then adding SP2.
