Help!!

I work for myself and regularly need to mail differing types of businesses
and for which I get the contact information from a web site as per the top
link. It has all businesses by area and trade but I find it very very
cumbersome to print page out and copy type into my Excel database set up.

Does anyone know if I could copy the information and paste straight into
Excel in a more usable format from which I could then generate address
labels?

Would be so grateful for any help.

Ken,

If the information you copy from the website is always in
the same format, then I suggest you copy and paste it
into an "interim" or "conversion" spreadsheet. From
there, you can set up a sheet in the interim file which
puts the data into the same structure/format as your
Excel database. Then you can simply copy and paste it
from there into the database.

I do this all the time for clients who pull data from
various external sources. It comes in a mess and goes
out nice and clean to the database.

How about File|open, then type in that URL.

Newer versions of excel handle web pages better than older versions, but it
might make it slightly easier.

Many thanks for replying and because I am not that familiar with Excel I am
not sure what to do. Is this something I could pay someone to do for me as
it is important.
