Any Success with 832483 and MDAC 2.53 ?

Patch 832483 is supposed to work with MDAC 2.53. Does it? Thought I'd ask
since many people are having problems with it. TIA
 
I should rephrase the question. Has anyone actually applied the patch
against MDAC 2.53 with success? Thanks again.
