Any good replacements for MS Producer??

I've posted this question before, but I've still not been able to find an
affordable and easy replacement for the wonderful free MS Producer. We
frequently videotape meetings and then synch them to the PPT slides used in
the meeting, and I have yet to find another program that does exactly that.
We purchased Adobe Presenter, but you can't synch video, just audio. I'm
surprised that Microsoft doesn't even sell a product to replace Producer.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm afraid Producer won't be an option as time
goes on....

There is a version of Producer for PPT 2007 available for download at
http://office.microsoft.com . I don't know if MS will continue to update it
for new PPT versions or not. I guess that's something we all gamble with
with all software, huh? -- but I fully admit that some software seems more
"reliable" and have more likelihood of sticking around than others. And
these little MS throaways like Producer are a bit scary to gamble on.

Anyway, I like Articulate. You should try the trial version before
purchasing. Make sure it does what you need, you know?

Although the Producer 2007 is available for PowerPoint 2007, it is a Beta
version.
I rather wait for an official version. I do not understand why Microsoft is
holding back on finalizing Producer for PP 2007.
