Any good duplicate picture/mp3 finders... based on contents, not name/date/size

I have lots of digital pictures and mp3's scattered all over my PC.
Just wondering if there's a good dup finder that uses the actual
contents to find close matches rather than the lame name, date, size.

Thanks

Norm

DupeLocater can search thousands of files in a matter of seconds.

It does NOT care about file names or dates, only the contents of the files.
Files are considered duplicates If, and ONLY if, their entire contents are
identical. Bit for bit.
Duplicate files are exactly the same size, and contain exactly the same data.

Dup Detector finds duplicate and near duplicate images by opening and
reading image pixel data. The images do not have to be identical, it
finds images that are close (and there is a threshold setting so you
can adjust how close is close). I have used it and found it very good.
It only deals with image files, not audio files.

Freeware, windows.

I've been using Dupeless for this purpose for years. Very rarely a false
positive, more often than not it's correct - so much so that I trust it
implicitly. It does have a limit of about 10,000 image comparisons at a
time, though. Unfortunately, Ziff-Davis now charge for access to their
"Freeware" utilities, but there might be a link out there to a site with the
file.

I also have another program which can even detect cropped and resized
images - but it's a lot slower and sometimes won't install cleanly. I refer
to Odin II, which I believe is now shareware as well, though there used to
be a link to the last freeware version from Son Of Spy's site, if I recall
correctly. Definitly worth having if you can find it.
