Hello

Web conferencing is major growth area, especially with VOIP.

MS is investing into LiveMeeting, a very powerful, but expensive
(subscription) based solution. I guess there are also major IBM and Sun

Alternative services.

Is anyone aware of lightweight Open Source solution. Supporting basic
text, VoiP, Webcam video, Whiteboard and Apps/desktop sharing
facilites.

I have seen WebHuddle, a Java based solution hosted upon JBOSS
webserver.

Any other solutions ?

Thanks

Jules

believe it or not just about any windows (98 on up) based computer has
NetMeeting (conf from the command line) that has crude voip capabilities.

yeah I know about Netmeeting, but I believe it will no longer be
supported in Windows Vista.

How about ICQ Classic? Or Yahoo IM?

Well, it would be kind of hard not to support it, but the protocol is pretty
strait-up. I've written several apps that do that, and its a pretty
standard protocol. If your not up to bare-metal, see SourceForge.
