I am looking for an all-in-on Asus board.

Is there any difference in the video performance between the A7N8X-VM
and the A7N266-VM board?

If not, is it worth the extra $50 for the newer board.
The processor will be Athlon 2800+

Thanks

The former is an nForce2 board, with a GeForce4 MX, the Latter is an nForce1
board with a GeForce2 MX.

The 2800+ has a FSB of 166MHz, the latter board doesn't support that, so
unless you want to mess around with upping the multiplier (which may or may
not be hard to do, depending on your CPU and the motherbaord) and running
the CPU with reduced memory bandwidth, I'd go for the nForce2 board.

Video on A7N8X-VM sux, but is better than the 266.
The A7N8X-VM is worth the $50 more, but not just for the video!
Just get the A7N8X-E. Better not to skimp on the mobo!
Integrated video is still pretty much shit, but OK for a budget [non-gaming]
box.
