Any compatibility issues with XP 32-bit and AMD Phenom x3 and X4 C

I need to find out if there are any compatibity issues with building a system
using
an AMD Phenom triple or quad-core processor and running windows XP 32-bit,
or do I need to install XP 64-bit only? I will not be using Vista at this
stage.
Also, if I do install 32-bit with a quad-core, how many processors will the
OS see?
