If you can AFFORD Windows 2003 Server Standard you can afford a real
firewall and server quality Anti-virus software. If you can't afford it
you should not be installing it.

Sorry to sound harsh, but you'll be asking for trouble and be one of the
cracked statistics if you don't get quality software for the server. I
would suggest that you DO NOT run a firewall on the server as your only
means of firewalling it - at the very least, get a NAT box in front of
it.

The free ZoneAlarm woks on the sever even though when you install it says it
is not recommended for servers. However, the newest version of the free AVG
(version 7) antivirus does not install on servers but the earlier version
did.
