Antispyware - Schedule

J

Jaime

Hi,

I've been using Microsoft Antispyware Beta for some time.
As it doesn't bother me I have scheduled a daily scan on my
PC. But the reason I am writing this email/post is to
report that I am only available to set the scan hour
between 00:00 and 11:59. If I try to set the hour to
anything above 11:59 it automatically subtract 12 hours.
For example 17:00 becomes 05:00.

Now my questions are: am I the only one with this issue? Is
Microsoft Antispyware team already aware of this issue?

Sorry if this has been tackled before, but I tried to use
the search function, but it's disabled and went thru the
known issues and couldn't find anything.

Cheers,
Jaime

Please forgive any errors I could have made as English is
not my mother language.

This error affects anyone with a 24 hour clock format, rather than a 12 hour
one. This means most users outside the United States, and some within.

On the assumption that you are outside the United States, here's a shortcut
to getting your scan to occur at the desired time:

1) change your language setting to English (United States)
2) set the desired afternoon scan time in Microsoft Antispyware
3) change your language setting back to its usual setting.

This works because the default clock format in that language setting is a
12-hour setting.
You can also set a 12 hour clock format and follow up accordingly, but this
is a little harder to do and to describe.

I tried this fix, and it works.

Many Thanx :)
