anti spyware

i use winxp pro, everytime i attempt to install the antispyware, i get the
error message: internal error 2753 gcasInstallhelper.exe.

i am the administrator.

please advise.

i appreciate you responding. the result was negative. i downloaded the
installer cleaner. it went through the process, only to get the same error
2753 gcasinstallhelper.exe

please advise.

ps does that download in anyway effect the installer?

Well darn... OK, here's another fix-all from Tom Emmelot:

Uninstall from Control Panel ADD/REM,
Delete in C:/windows/Program files, MSAS subfolders and
the MSAS folder; and delete in
C:\windows\system32 the following MSAS files:

GCCollection.dll
hashlib.dll
gcUnCompress.dll

Then run a regcleaner CCleaner (Issues, allow a back up of the changes)
Also use the temp cleaner of CCleaner.

Then try your re-install from a download, initially saved to your hardrive (not
run in place.)

I forgot to respond to your second question. The installation cleanup utility
is designed to remove left over and broken junk from the original installation.
It's generally advised to un-install and remove that utility after you're
finished using it.
