Another Question About Triggering Custom Animations

I followed the advice in my question below. Now I am having the following
problems when viewing the slide show:

1. Once I click the trigger object once, and click onto a different one, I
can't go back and re-trigger the previous image.

2. I have multiple images to trigger, and if I pick the last one on the
list, previous ones will be be triggered when I click.

I saw there was some sort of option to "repeat" in the "Timing" section, but
it wouldn't let me select any options. Will this trigger feature only be
feasible with one image per slide or is there a way to get around the
problems I'm having? Thanks for your help!

It should work just fine. Do you want to send me a sample file? I also
have a sample Family Feud slide that uses Triggers if you want me to send it
to you. Be sure to send it directly to me and not posted here. The address
is:

pttinc at itexas dot net (if you know what I mean)

I'll create an example file to send tomorrow, as the actual ppt document has
personnel information in it. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know if I
get the problem figured out before then too.

Normally, triggers continue to work, so if you hit the same button
several times and that button is set to trigger a picture to come in, it
will happen over and over again.

I can think of one case where it won't work. If your pictures are on top
of each other, you might be triggering a picture to come in, but it is
under the other pictures. For example, you trigger Pic 1 to come in.
Then you trigger Pic 2 to come in on top of Pic 1. If you trigger Pic 1
to come in, it won't work because it will come in underneath Pic 2.

You can solve this with a little complexity. Set all your entrance
animations just the way you want (probably the way you already have.
Then, for each picture, set several exit animations that are triggered by
the other buttons and set their timing to With Previous.

For example with three pictures and three buttons, you will need a whole
bunch of animation effects.:

Pic 1 entrance effect triggered by Button 1.
Pic 2 entrance effect triggered by Button 2.
Pic 3 entrance effect triggered by Button 3.
Pic 1 exit effect triggered by Button 2.
Pic 1 exit effect triggered by Button 3.
Pic 2 exit effect triggered by Button 1.
Pic 2 exit effect triggered by Button 3.
Pic 3 exit effect triggered by Button 1.
Pic 3 exit effect triggered by Button 2.

Of course, if you have a lot of pictures, the number of animations you
are setting will quickly get out of hand. Once you go beyond 5 or 6,
you'll probably be better off with VBA because you can at least cut and
paste all the code to get it to work.

Thanks...I'll probably just rethink where I'm placing my images. You were a
lot of help.

Sorry,

I've been out injurred for a few days. However, the post down below
actually answeres my particular situation, so the issue should be solved.
Thanks again for your willingness to help!
