I have a powerpoint presetaion that I have inserted WMV movies into that
truncate when they play in powerpoint. If I click on the files from windows
explorer they play to the end fine with windows media player. If appears
that the last couple of seconds are just not playing. I have tried the
suggestions for slide show setup and setting resolution with hardware
acceleration.

Gary, if the video is not overly large can you send me a copy so I can
examine it? (Just click reply instead of reply group.)

I did not see how to do any other reply other that this so I looked at the
email in your profile and sent it that way.

Public follow up.

Gary sent me a copy of the video in question and it demonstrates what can
happen when a video is "converted" multiple times. The video had started
life as an Mpg4, been converted to FLA, and finally to WMV. The problem
arose because the video had a "marker" in it and while the Windows Media
Player could handle it the MCI player (used in PowerPoint) could not. If
you would like a better understanding of the MCI player and how it works in
PowerPoint you might want to read this tutorial.

As a side note, I ran the video through PFCPro and all was corrected and I
sent the corrected version to Gary.
