Hi
One of my colleague's power point can not show the pictures i created in
word. instead the picture displays in a white box with a red cross in the top
left corner. which is the same when you can not display pictures in
IExplorer. It is not the problem of the hardware acceleration.

Do the pictures show up in Edit view but not in the Show?

Can you right click on the pictures in PowerPoint and save as? Does doing
this and then reinserting them help?

Can you save the images as image files from the Word document (save it as an
HTML page then look in the folder for the images) then insert them into the
PPT?

What version of PowerPoint/Word?

The version is Office 2003 sp2
the picture can not show in edit view.
when I change the picture type to JPG and reinsert it is OK.

But the PC still can not show the pictures created by word using the drawing
function.

Cut & Paste from Word brings over an OLE object, rather than the image file.
Usually, the OLE will correctly display (depending on the rendering engine
utilized by the OLE object), but sometimes it does not. For this reason, it
is strongly suggested to insert all the pictures into a PowerPoint by using
the Insert => Pictures => From file method.

You can get the raw picture files by using the "save as HTML" method from
Word I suggested. Does saving the Word file as an HTML, then getting the
image files from the HTML folder and reinserting them work?

change the picture type and reinsert it in to PPT it is OK.

But if I do not do this, the PPT can be shown in most PC except that user. I
think there is something wrong with his program. I just wonder how to repair
the client. it is my problem. I can not ask everyone who will send him PPT
files reinsert the problem pictures again just for one person.

The OLE object, if it can be repaired? like regsiter some DLLs like
OLExxxx.dll?

Is there any chance that the user does not have the image program (that the
picture was cut and pasted into Word from) on his computer?
