I'm trying to help someone to use FP 2002 via email. On occasion when
they publish they will get the following error message on random pages:
Server error- The page PontiacOldsBuick/63CatalinaWagon.htm has been
modified by (unknown) on 20 Jul 2004 09:59:07-0400.
And unless they select "No" on the "would you like to modify it" FP
locks up and the publish stops. All the page layouts are the same and
this tends to happen to random pages. I've tried having them make a
small change to the page and then resaving it and I've also tried having
them recalculating the hyperlinks but neither of these work. I've even
tried deleting and then reinstalling the extensions on the server but
still no luck. The only solution that does seem to work is to
completely delete the page from both the local site and the server site
and then recreate it from scratch. But this is becoming too time
consuming for both me and the person I'm trying to help.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem?
