Another 2002 File Open Question

It used to be when I did file:open folders would be first and then files would be alphabetical. It suddely is sorting by last opened with folders last. Same problem is in Excel. Is this because I performed an office update? Can I change it back somehow? My eyes and brain prefer the alphabetical listing!
 
Set the display to Details view if it isn't already. Then click the "Name"
column header. If the file names are in descending order, click the column
header again to make them ascending.
