Recently my computer seems to have been taken over by
Explorer. I get as many as 5 or 6 full screen pages for
all kinds of sites whenever I click on a topic. For
instance if I try to play Strike A Match, I immediately
get Matchmaker, Find a Match, etc etc. on top of the game
screen and often the unwanted screen is impossible to get
rid of. What's going on? Am I missing something?

Got to http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html and download/install
Spybot ASAP.

Run it, Click on the update, then search. It should find spyware, popup generators
and hijackers that could be causing you popups. Have it remove them. It may have to
reboot and run again. Just make sure you tell it to "Fix" the problems it finds.

Good luck! Hope this helps!

Along that vein, your pc has been invaded by
spyware/malware, you need a combination of software to
clean and keep it out, get a better firewall than the
built in one for XP, zonealarm is free, adaware is a great
free product, and cleans stuff that spybot doesn't, also
get spywareblaster , use them often, especially after each
install of any third party software.

Run these programs to check for spyware/malware. After installing
update them, then boot into safe mode and run them. You should update
and run them weekly.
