If you have a website, then you can perform a basic HTML check by simply
entering the URL of the website here:
http://online.htmlvalidator.com/php/onlinevallite.php

It is based on CSE HTML Validator Lite, a free HTML editor and HTML/XHTML
syntax checker for Windows which can be downloaded here:
http://www.htmlvalidator.com/lite/

Version 7.01 is now available. In addition to checking HTML syntax, CSE HTML
Validator Lite can also:

* Check spelling.
* Quickly change all tags and attributes to lowercase.
* Automatically place quotation marks around all attribute values.
* Strip HTML tags from HTML documents, leaving only the text.
* Quickly change all the headers and/or footers of every page of your web
site when you design your pages using the template tool.

Anyone interested in validating their html/xhtml and/or css markup would
do well to go the *source*: W3.ORG. The current director is the man
credited w/the creation of thw world wide web, Tim Bernard-Lee.

"The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an international consortium
where Member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work
together to develop Web standards. W3's mission is:

To lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing
protocols and guidelines that ensure long-term growth for the Web."
