It would have been VERY NICE, *if* you had NOT set the installer to
AUTOMATICALLY (after showing some pseudo-choice) reboot. I had several
apps/windows open, when the installer finished. There was absolutely *nothing*
I could do to save them.

There is NO pseudo-choice... it *DOES* work but someone has to choose
the right option ;-)

I was under the impression that a body was not supposed to have any
apps running when installing a program to begin with! Have I been
mis-informed??
