Animgif countdown on master

B

bizshows

Hi,

I have created an animgif showing a countdown from 15mins to 0mins (at
the moment just testing with 15-10 at 5 second intervals).

I have placed this on the master and made half a dozen slides.

When I start the slideshow, the countdown gif starts its job, but when
I advance slides, it jumps back (not necessarily to the start of the
animation).

Can anyone help? I need to get a timer to count down as accurately as
possible during a presentation. If not this way, is there another
solution/workaround?

Many thanks

- Do not use an animated .gif, but a movie format (.wmv, .mpg, etc.).
- Place and position movie on the master slide (note: no content will be
able to be put on top of movie, even on non-master slides).
- In custom animation settings set to 'stop playing after' 99 slides (or any
number that is appropriate).
- Done.

Note: You are now using a linked movie, so it must be included with the
PowerPoint presentation (eg. it is not embedded in the presentation). Check
here for an overview of how PPT plays movies:
