Animating the legend of an Excel chart.

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to animate an Excel chart in PowerPoint. No problem except
that I would like to animate the legend too, and I don't get it too
work. I am animating by the elements in the series, and I would like
every element in the legend to appear one after another as the
corresponding series are shown on the slide. Is this possible?

There is a checkbox called "Animate grid and legend" (maybe it's not
exactly like that in English, I'm translating from my Spanish version:
"Animar cuadrícula y leyenda") but it does not seem to have any
effect.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion,

S.

S,
The checkbox you mention animates the grid and the legend as a whole,
seperately from the data it belongs to.
You can ungroup the chart using the drawing toolbar, choose draw - ungroup.
Then you can animate the individual pieces as wanted. Grouping and
regrouping the different elements it should be possible to do what you want.
I would do this on a copy of the graph so changes can still be made later.
