animating invidual text w/in a bulleted list

I know you can animate a bulleted list by bullet b/c each is considered
a "paragraph." However, I also want to draw emphasis to single words
w/in a bullet. Is there any way to do this? The only thing I found
would allow the bullet to show up word by word but I just want a couple
words to basically be emphasized and then return to their normal
setting.

Animations cannot be applied word-by-word as you discovered. The solution I
use is to animate a smaller text box with the key word or phrase on top of
the text box and then animate it (emphasis change color, change font, bold,
etc.).
