animated graphics in a Word document

I'd like to include an animated graphic (a waving flag - a .gif file) in a newsletter (a Word document). Is there an easy way to do this in Word? Does Word support animations like this? If not, can you suggest anything
 
Word supports animated GIFs only in Web pages.
