Anchored fields?

When forms are auto-created by table they appear to be anchored within a
column. Is there any easy way to turn this off without having to go field by
field?

Thanks

I assume you are selecting a table in the db window and then pressing the
Auto-Form button in the toolbar. That will create a form with all of the
controls stacked vertically (if that's what you mean by a column). Just switch
to design view and move them wherever you want. They can be moved in groups.

How would you want them arranged by the wizard otherwise? If you go through the
full-blown wizard rather than using the Auto-Form option you do get a few other
layout options, but you will almost never get a form produced by the wizard that
won't need tweaking afterwards.

Thanks however the behaviour remains odd. When I try to move a single field
the operation is on the entire stack. If I select just the field then I am
unable to move it and when I try to resize it the entire stack resizes?

Thanks

Form design has changed a lot in Access 2007. I'm not familiar enough with
it to advise you myself, but now that we've established that it is Access
2007 that you are using, perhaps someone who is more familiar with it may be
able to advise you.
