Analog Video

Hi,

I'm brand new to using Windows Movie Maker and I can't figure out how to
import audio with my video. I have a new HP Media Center and I'm importing a
movie clip from my analog video camcorder into the Line 2 RCA plugs on the
front of the machine. I have "Composite" selected for the Video input type.

Using Windows Movie Maker, I can successfully create a video clip but the
audio is not passing through. I have all 3 plugs connected on both ends, and
I've tried changing several of the audio settings in the software but it
still doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? I'd really appreciate it.
 
Do you have Line In selected on the Audio ... ensure it's not set to Mute.
Click on the Speaker icon in the System Tray, then on Options, Properties,
Recording
 
Thanks, but I checked that and they were not muted. I switched over to a
program called Sonic that also came my my media center, and I was able to
record analog video and audio just fine, so this was definitely an issue with
Movie Maker.
