An IF problem

Derek Davis

I seem to going around in circles can anyone help me. I am tracking the fuel
consumption of cars. I will show what I have todate:-
Date Millage Fuel Miles per fill Avg MPG
31-Aug-03 5840 10 -194.666667
6000 160
6210 210
6320 110
6400 80
6500 100
6900 400
7000 100
-7000

The Miles per fill has a formula =B6-B5 now that's OK but the problem come
up at the last entry
(-7000). I need this cell to be idealy blank. Also the average column gets
its data from the miles per fill column. With a figure of -7000 displayed it
is resulting in the wrong average total.
Does anyone understand me?????

Thanks

Hi Derek,

"Does anyone understand me?????"

I think you want to track the fuel consumption for each fill and the total
average over time.

I have a sample workbook that I can mail to you (and anybody else who wants it)
if you like.
It is not proper to attach files to messages, otherwise i would have done so.

Remove the 'xyz' from my email address.

Best regards
Anders Silvén
