An excel file opens when starting excel

Hi,

I have a excel file "personal.xls",which is password protected.

Whenever i start to open an new/existing excel file,the above file pops
up prompting for password.How do i stop it....pls help.

Hello Rajkumar
Close Excel and search for the file "personnal.xls" on your computer (it
should be found in the xlstartup folder) and move it to another location.

Try allowing personal.xls to open (hopefully you have the password). Then
window/hide, file/exit. It will prompt you to save personal.xls. Say yes....
