An "Error Message"????

Starts with....

"This action will reset the current code in break mode.
Do you want to stop the running code?...."

Someone sent that to me - I'm not at
their location.

What causes that? Somehow a Debug "Breakpoint"?

TIA - Bob

to figure it out, it'd help to have some context: when and where is the
user seeing this message? in a form? while trying to save a record or click
a command button? *after* getting an error message and clicking End? when
pressing keys on the keyboard, such as Ctrl+Break?

I spoke w/ the User on the Phone. They're "infamous" for NOT Cold-Booting.

I had them do that, & the problem went away. I'll check w/ them again
tomorrow & for awhile to monitor this. It's a database someone else wrote &
it has been running about 10 years.

Thank you - Bob

hi,

i'm getting one of these today as well. i'm going to try turning my computer
off like totally and then rebooting. hopefully, that'll spell the solution to
my problemo.

tina,

i tried rebooting my desktop after powering it off but this did not appear
to quell the angry demons.

i have a form in a2k and when i click on the large "X" button in the upper
right hand corner to close it, the annoying "This action will reset the
current code in break button just results in some system 'bang' type noises
every time i depress the mouse button to perform the action. clickin on 'No'
removes the message from the screen but clicking the 'X' button again only
serves to make it reappear. the only choice left to me is to go to the task
manager and remove the processes from there.

can you HELP?

Ted, suggest you start a new thread for your question, including a full
explanation of what's happening and what you've tried to do to fix it. it's
usually not a good idea of "latch on" to an old thread (especially one
that's a month old) because you're not going to get attention from most or
all of the people who might be able to help you solve the problem. i only
noticed this myself, because i'm behind in clearing out my old "watched"
messages in my newsreader.

btw, also suggest you post the question in the "forms" or "formscoding" NG,
since your problem is occurring during use of a form.
