An email is stuck in my outbox.

Several days ago, I tried to send an email that was too big. It has been
sitting in my outbox since then I can not erase it. How can I get rid of it?
It's been slowing down my sending.

File - Work Offline
Wait a few minutes.
Try to delete message.
IF it fails, shut down outlook.
Restart Outlook, remaining offline.
Try to delete message.

If it still fails, what version of Outlook?

CLick File and check Work Offline. Stop and restart Outlook (wait just a
few minutes in between the stop and the restart). Delete the message.
Click File and uncheck Work Offline.
