It's always nice, when, a person that initiates a thread, that is responded
to, responds to the RESPONSE, indicating whether or not they (the initiator)
tried whatever was suggested, and to the result.
There is an incentive factor, that may discourage people who respond, who
never find out if their suggestions are worthwhile or correct.
Many responses are trial-and-error suggestions that are based upon informed
inductions; they don't always work. A newsgroup's potential to be as
helpful
as possible is compromised when readers can see what works, what doesn't
work,
and what actually achieves a state of resolve.
