Amstrad DMP200/FX80 Driver

To cut a long story short, I need to print on triplicate pressure forms. I
have an old but working Amstrad DMP2000, for which I am using the
recommended Epson FX80 driver for Win2k.

The forms are fanfold tractor fed, but (this is the good bit) measure 20cm
wide by 22.7cm high. Naturally the driver doesn't include this size.

Is there a way of telling the driver about custom sizes, or better still,
another driver for basic Epson 9-pin dot matrix printers that can cope with
user-defined paper sizes?

Please reply via the newsgroup, as the e-mail address is clearly wrong.
Thanks.

What O/S are you running? My Windows ME machine offers Custom form sizes
for the FX80 printer; but from what your describing, the form is more likely
2.25 inches rather than 22.7 cm.

Thanks for replying.
I'm running Windows 2000. The form is definately 20x22.7cm.

The paper sizes offered by the FX80 driver are A4, A5, B5 (JIS), Fanfold
8.5x12, Legal and Letter. There is no custom option.

Is the driver you are using 'Built-in' to WinMe, or did you download it from
a third-party site?

The driver is built-in to Windows ME. Sounds like you need to have the form
re-printed in a standard size.

Thanks for all the replies chaps.

I solved the problem in a roundabout way. There ia a facility in the Open
Office spreadsheet to set the cells to a specific size, so with an accurate
ruler and a little patience it all happened. It can also 'override' the FX80
driver with its paper size selection, including a 'Custom' opotion.

BTW, the site http://www.driverguide.com is a veritable goldmine. I
found a Spanish driver for the FX80 which offered more paper sizes than the
one built in to Win2K.
