Ampersands within records

Is there an equivalent of vertical bars (see example below) to refer
to records with ampersands ("&") within them?

You can use Instr([YourField], Chr(37)) to find position of '%' in the string.

Jet does not give a special meaning to & embedded in a string.


CurrentDb.Execute "INSERT INTO companies(f1) VALUES( 'A & P') "

will insert a new record in table companies, with "A & P" as value (under
the field f1), without prompting for a parameter for P.
