Xp came with my gateway comp. Twice gateway had had me
enter in dos when having computer problems. Both times
the comp asked for a password. I don't think I ever made
a password. The comp insisted I had a password and I was
told I would lose everything because I could not remember
the pw. My comp is working fine now. No user accounts
have passwords. Is there a way to check or change this pw
I might have put in the first day I got the computer?
Thanks

This was probably referring to the Administrator or Recovery Console
password which is blank by default. So if you didn't change that (and
normally on a Home Edition machine you wouldn't), the password is blank
and you shouldn't worry about this.
