America's Army dosen't work

David

I have a upgrated eMachines T2040.

When I run the Game America's Army, it displays an error
message "general protection falt". When I ran the system
hardware check, it said my video card does not have enough
memory. It says the minimum requirment is 32mb. I have 64
mb. It also says I dont have at least DirectX 8.1, even
though I have 9.0b. America's Army specificly says on the
site my video card it supported, and the driver
installation disk evem came with a copy of america's army!
The game used to work, and i would appresiate it if
someone could help me! I am running a Gforce4 FX PCI card
with 64 mb of memory. The game says AGP is required, but
like i said, it worked before and America's Army came with
the card!

Hi David (and david),

Let's do a diagnostic of your system to see what could be the problem.
If we can eliminate your system hardware and configuration problems
from the equation, it will be easier to find the solution for each of you.

In order to Create a dxdiag.txt file: Click Start / Run / type: DXDIAG
Click the "Test" buttons in the Display, Sound, Music & Network Tabs;
Afterwards click the "Save All Information..." button in the bottom row.

Send the Dxdiag file: Click Insert / File Attachment using Outlook Exp.,
or open the file in notepad, click Edit / Select All / Copy and then Paste
the data into your reply using the Ctrl+V command. Hope this helps! :)
