AMD Sempron and MS6590 (Kt4)

Hi everybody

for you info i have tried to use AMD 2400+ Sempron with my
motherboard MS6590
(Kt400 ULTRA ) WITHOUT success .

I read on www.msi.tw.com the Kt4 does not support those processors but
I would like to try anymore.

There's no reason the Sempron won't work in that MB, or any other MB for
that matter. The Sempron is just a renamed Athlon XP with different
defaults. Why anyone would want to buy one of the socket A Semprons is
beyond me though. Renamed from Athlon to Sempron, lowered the default
speeds/raised PR (compared to Celeron) and raised the price. I think P. T.
Barnum said it best.
