Good evening,
Is there such a software like AM-Deadlink for Firefox 1.5
to check the validity of bookmarks and delete disabled ones ?
I used to use AM-Deadlink with I.E 5.5 and liked it.
Tried it with firefox and it does not work.
Thank you

It does if you set Firefox in the top left window.

I don't think some of the older versions worked for FireFox, but the
latest version (2.7) works fine for me.

I just used 2.06 yesterday on Firefox and it worked perfectly.
Regardless, I guess I'll check out the newer version. Thanks!

So does 1.42, I just use the Netscape setting.

I just downloaded and installed this program. I tried it with the
Firefox 1.5 browser. Out of 234 bookmarks it checked it could not
find one. Most all of them said "404 file not found".

To the best of my knowledge all the URL's it listed are valid.

I have been looking for a program like this for some time and any
suggestions appreciated.

I just tried it: FF 1.5, AM-Deadlink 2.7 (downloaded a couple of minutes
ago); no difficulty

Did you give it permission to breach your firewall?

THANK YOU, that did it. Keep forgetting about the firewall. Usually
Norton asks if I want to allow access to the net and sets it up.
